Ukraine's flag lends itself to artistic reinterpretations rather easily, considering you've got a blue sky and yellow ground (for wheat or grass or even sand). Initially there was going to be an abandoned tank in the middle of a wheat field. I'd read somewhere that there were tank battalions stuck in the middle of the Ukrainian wilderness because they were deployed so hastily they ran out of fuel. It's an amusing thought, one of the few points of legitimate levity in this mess. If only it would happen to more of Putin's pieces on the board.
