Champagne (Monday Art Challenge Week 1)

Pernille Ørum started an art challenge on her Instagram account. A prompt is posted Wednesday, and while posting WIP's is encouraged, the finished piece should not be displayed until Monday. The first prompt was champagne and I've always been a big fan of the spy movie/thriller cliche of a woman in a glass. Martini glasses are the go-to, and typical champagne flutes are a little bit too tall for a relaxing bubble bath, so I discovered the Coupe, which was just about perfect. There's a hotel somewhere on the East Coast that made a name for itself by having a two-story love suite with a Champagne glass hot tub. Tacky? Maybe. Gaudy? Sure. Kitsch? The epitome, but it's hard not to respect it.
